(Richard Jackson Books (Atheneum Hardcover)) level it s a tale of two men who haveoved one another since boyhood They are separated at age 10 when Sho is apprenticed to an anma to Guiding Readers and Writers, Grades 3-6: Teaching Comprehension, Genre, and Content Literacy learn his trade as a masseur The one thing each retains is a stone that has been split apart with each boy wearing half on a string around their neck Hirata is heartbroken when Shoeaves Sho was part of his very being Separation from Sho made him feel The Stray Bullet like his own heart was dyingHirata begins his search for Sho when he turns seventeen and has fulfilled his obligations to his father an epic odysseyasting 10 years as Hirata searches from one end of Japan to the other The author also amps up the epic uality by adding in a bit of Japanese Autobiography of Mark Twain, Vol. 3 lore about Zatoichi When Hirata finally finds Sho their reunion is not as simple as Hirata has hoped At this point I had a few niggles view spoiler There is a fairly detailed sex scene between Sho and another character other than Hirata And after Sho and Hirata become reacuainted the pace of the story slows down considerably as the reasons Sho gives for remaining apart change daily and don t always make sense IMHO hide spoiler 35 stars Blind Love is the second instalment in Sedonia Guillone s Sword and Silk trilogy As with the previous book this book also had a profound feel of the Japanese culture and theife of samurais The writing was beautiful and emotional portraying a very powerful friendship and How to Fix a Broken Heart (TED Books) love that weathers decades before coming to its rightful conclusionHirata and Sho were childhood best friends who get separated when Shooses his sight and taken away to be trained as an anma Hirata is devastated and vows to find his friend for as Bloody Crystal long as it takes He bides his time and when he is old enough to carry out his mission Hirata takes off to find his Sho Ten years passes with Hirata unsuccessfully searching for his friend But one day he finally meets a man who his heart says is Sho but the man refuses flat out to being his friend Hirata is heartbroken but he won tet Sho get away from his La sculpture sur pierre : Art et techniques life a second time Hirata has to trust his friendship andove to get what he has set out to do a decade agoThere is very Bear Humbug little romance in this story mostlyonging and pain Hirata and Sho shares a special bond which brings them together again after several years but Sho is adamant on not accepting Hirata s affections There is an HEA at the end but the entire part Afterlife leading to that felt unnecessaryong Hirata and Sho gets to spend several days together but the pace of the story slows down as soon as they start staying together Sho is not the same boy he was when he Blue Is for Nightmares left Hirata and he believes that Hirata can do so much better than being with him Thiseads him to rejecting Hirata again and again which made me very sad for the kind and Heroes Die loving Hirata His reasons to keep Hirata away did not make aot of sense most of the time Hirata s L'Ingénu love for Sho was pure and innocent He gives up aot and endures a whole The Strathmore Club lot to find hisost friend and Love He Was A He was a samurai with his faithful heart and fierce oyalty Sho was a complicated character whom I did not fully get even at the end of the story and definitely did not enjoy him hurt. 2nd EditionAfter a harrowing seventeen year separation Hirata Morimasa eaves his home and secure future to search for his childhood friend Sho Blinded by illness when they were children Sho was sent away apprenticed to a blind masseur an anma to earn his trade and then disappeared Desperate to find the other half of his heart and soul Hirata willingly sacrifices the prestig.
