LAST FRONTIER ON DISCOVERY HOWEVER THISFrontier on Discovery However this did not give me that much new material recipe wise *TO WORK WITH I NOTED THE *work with I noted the BB sauce in my recipe keeper and made almost half a gallon for our BB season and decided to try Craig s Tahini vinaigrette which I have yet to do but other than those similarly simple and delicious recipes already feature in the repertoire of those of us who were raised by old timey homesteadersI would still recommend this book I preordered it perused it for a few months taking pleasure in the plain but attractive writing of the authors and then eventually passed it on to the next person who would enjoy it just as much as I did Finally A healthy cookbook with real food that doesn t shy away from dairy or good fats Bring on the bone broth and the roasted rolt vegetables Eivin and Eve are my favorites on Alaska The Last Frontier but this would be a good cookbook for anyone who wants to dip their toes and spoons into homesteading or good wholesome home cooking And it s beautiful to display or flip through I got this book as I normally follow the family on the TV This cookbook is very interesting as not only they have some nice recipes but it is telling you a story about the them Very nice cookbook Have oved the tv show Alaska the ast frontier and this cook book is a good compliment to the show I wish we could be homesteaders but being military and moving every otther year sometimes every year well it isn t the cards right now but it s a retirement dream We ove their show and I saw some reviews about how if you didn t ike the show you wouldn t ike the cookbook I sat false on that one Eve writes this understanding that the average reader isn t homesteading next door in Alaska She takes the time in most of the recipes to put notes about substitutes if you can t find a certain ingredient and explaining why certain ingredients are used whether it be their nutrition profile or what not They do include wonderful ittle stories about their homesteading adventure which are a fun bonus but the book itse.
