Ed Navy SEAL Sax Douchett decides it s time to go home to Shelter Bay Oregon and get away from death and terrorism It doesn t help when the town treats him like a hero All he wants it to be left alone Then his dog digs up an Mass Murders old human bone and Sax is thrown together with his high school crush Sheriff Kara ConwayKara returned to Shelter Bay after her husband was killed in the linef duty and then her father former sheriff died in a supposed hunting accident She hopes to lead a peaceful like with her young son But things start going crazy with human bones turning up a shooting being assaulted herself and then the return f Sax He makes no bones that he wants her but Kara isn t sure she S Ready Or Willing To Start A ready r willing to start a really enjoyed Ross s High Risk series The first book was so so but then each Archeologia del Sottosuolo Metodologie a Confronto (2 Vol Set) one got better and by the end I was loving the series I THOUGHT this book was supposed to be another High Risk bookit initially had a titlef Ricochet similar in type to the Buried Secrets other HR Books But for whatever reasonwhether Ross wanted to change up the seriesr her publisher pushed her to go a different wayshe spun the HR series into the Shelter Bay series And I have so say I really wished she hadn t This book fell so completely and utterly flat for me I was so bored while reading itFor me the biggest problem Operación Primicia: el ataque de Montoneros que provocó el golpe de 1976 of this book was that it dragged alongmeandering this way wanderingver that way never really focusing Why Pandas Do Handstands on anythingf meaning and digging in It made everything very superficial There was a perfectly good suspense plot waiting to be dug into and instead it kept getting shoved aside like a pesky leaf For a romantic suspense fan and someone who was expecting this to BE a romantic suspense it was really frustrating This book was contemporary romance that shoved in some romantic suspense vertones not a full romantic suspense like the High Risk books wereThe romance was also pretty flat in my pinion It seemed like for most The List: el día en que mi vida cambió of the book they just keep going round and round the big pink elephantf their attraction to each ther I just wanted them to get n with it already Then when Kare finally does give in to Sax the author skips Submission With a Stranger over all the good stuff You get like half a page summarizing activities and dates and how they re falling in love with eachther and don t get to actually experience any Shadow Commander: The Epic Story of Donald D. Blackburn-Guerrilla Leader and Special Forces Hero of it AnnoyingThen there was theddity f Kara s mother She s widowed and suddenly develops an interest in her husband s best friend I m sorry but I really have no interest in reading about sixty year lds having sex I just don t Okay And what was up with that Stepford ish fantasy Kara s mother had That was freakin bizarreOh and I can t forget to mention the ghosts What ghosts you might ask The The Rat and the Tiger ones haunting Sax Verydd and almost ill fitting aspect Pirate Princess of the story Really I didn t mind it but I m still not sure it worked for the book But anyway Sax is being haunted by his three SEAL teammates The whole thing is treated so super casual that it s than a little weird Sax hides it because he doesn t want people thinking he has PTSD So you re kinda waiting to see if he tells Kara how she ll react considering her late husband had post war PTSD Then he finally does tell her and it s skimmedver You get a page f so saying Sax talked all night to her about his time as a SEAL what happened to him and the ghosts and that s it You get almost nothing if anything f Kara s reaction Ridiculous It just ghosts and that s it You get almost nothing if anything Arcadia of Kara s reaction Ridiculous It just the threadf this book being completely superficialWhich was such a disappointment I really expected so much from this story I would have much preferred Ross stick with the High Risk series type than move The Essential Elizabeth Montgomery: A Guide to Her Magical Performances on to this contemporary romancesuspense wannabe This would be a great beachvacation read Interesting story but easy enough to put down when life gets in the wayf reading I loved the heroine but I couldn t decide if Il bicchiere scrivente our hero was just a laid back alphar an aggressive beta My Damaged only complaint was the lackf heat There were a few tame love scenes but they didn t uite seem to fit the supposed passion between the coupleB I enjoyed this book immensely Although Sam s return to town finds him some sort Table For Two of a Navel SEALS hero he tries to hide it and moven but the town won t allow it After deciding that the restaurant his parents Disney Manga: Descendants - The Rotten to the Core Trilogy Book 2 oncewned would be a perfect business.
